The Power of Silence
As Wallace says, "There is a big difference between feeling lonely and feeling alone. In our solitude we experience the beauty, the power and the love of the Divine. We enter this world alone and alone we depart. There is great power and presence in aloneness. In our solitude we are never lonely for we are imbued with the presence of God."
By simply being this way - silent, loving and accepting - your mind and body will relax. You realize how futile all that thinking was, and let go of that endless agenda. A calm spacious field of energy starts to expands within you and you realize that this deep, peaceful feeling is where you really wanted to arrive anyway.
Our inner knowing is expressed through intuition, and that’s with feelings and images, which the mind then puts into words if we give it the opportunity to do so. In the silence of your inner space you hear the truth and know the solutions. Deepak Chopra has the same message: “To make the right choices in life, you have to get in touch with your soul. To do this, you need to experience solitude, because in the silence you hear the truth and know the solutions.”
When you meditate, and experience your presence as a simple pure state of awareness and choice, then you begin to notice that it's the ground of all your other states... emotions, thoughts, accomplishments, ways of being, roles, things you identify with, attachments. As Mother Teresa says, “We need silence to be able to touch souls.” And Brahma Kumaris - In the ocean of silence you may discover your eternal treasures of peace, love and happiness. In silence, you can let bad feelings and past sorrows dissolve. In silence you can hear the whisper of God saying, “Come child and rest with Me. You are a peaceful soul.”
