We need to feel that we deserve consideration, that we are worth listening to, before we will listen to our inner truth and express our feelings and ideas to others. To realize that one is indeed ‘OK’ is the key step that makes personal growth possible.

Left and right brain, tools through which the mind and soul are expressed. As John Earle explains, "Many of us have become disconnected from the natural world and our own spiritual nature. To truly know our inner nature we are required to express ourselves." We have to tread through the mud and jump in the river, see where it takes us.

Most of us are aware that there is something within us that is not being fully expressed. We don't always know what it is consciously, but we know that there is more than what we are experiencing or have experienced. It is our unfelt suffering, our inner knowing, our true purpose, our unexpressed love... and to ignore that real self is in effect to die, at least until we awaken.
