15 years ago, when Roger Elliot and I started Uncommon Knowledge, we did the Time Machine exercise to help us plan our future. And that single exercise helped us go from starting with the £8000 we’d saved up to the 7-figure business we run today. How it works is you use your imagination to take yourself into your desired future, and then use a special questioning technique to extract all the steps you need to take to get you there. It doesn’t sound much, but it’s astonishingly powerful, and I’ve seen it work time and again on our workshops. The trick is in the way you ask the questions. It’s SO much more effective than traditional goal setting, and much more fun too. Full details on how to do the Time Machine exercise are in the 10 Steps to Stellar Success program, with a video demonstration of me doing the exercise with a volunteer.
