Determination
Commentary by Peter Shepherd

“You've got to get up every morning with determination if you're going to go to bed with satisfaction.” ~ George Lorimer
For sure, both luck and hard work play a role in achievement but most important is having a vision that inspires and energizes you. Lack of confidence and mulling on past failures then fall away. Having worked out the steps to get there, and equipping yourself with the necessary know-how, by being persistent and determined you will arrive. It’s the game of life!
“Keep your dreams alive. Understand to achieve anything requires faith and belief in yourself, vision, hard work, determination, and dedication. Remember all things are possible for those who believe.” ~ Gail Devers
If you persist long enough, and learn from your mistakes along the way, you will win.
“Being defeated is only a temporary condition; giving up is what makes it permanent.” ~ Marilyn vos Savant
As Dan Rather said, "Courage is being afraid but going on anyhow." Don't be discouraged. It's often the last key in the bunch that opens the lock. And Confucius said, "It does not matter how slowly you go so long as you do not stop."
“If you have made mistakes, there is always another chance for you. You may have a fresh start any moment you choose, for this thing we call 'failure' is not the falling down, but the staying down.” ~ Mary Pickford
When you're down, go inside and really see and feel what its like to achieve your dream, like it's happening now. This vision will give you fresh inspiration - with belief and action your dream will manifest.
“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful people with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.” ~ Calvin Coolidge
Go for it!
