Ask Powerful Questions
Commentary by Peter Shepherd

“Successful people ask better questions, and as a result, they get better answers.” ~ Anthony Robbins
Learning is one of the main functions of living, and to do that we need to ask questions, experience and listen, remain open minded and include our inner knowing. Then we indeed have hope. And as Brian Tracy said, "Communication is a skill that you can learn. It's like riding a bike or typing. If you're willing to work at it, you can rapidly improve the quality of every part of your life."
“It is better to ask the right questions than to accept the status quo.” ~ Phil Harding
A lack of communication breeds assumptions of what the other is thinking or feeling; and assumptions are, more often than not, incorrect. And then, have we asked the right questions? If a question is based on a false assumption and we haven't spotted that, we can be led up the garden path. We always need to keep an open mind and inquire about alternative views and experiences. Asking the right question is key to finding a solution that works.

- What's the gift in this situation?
- What can I learn from this?
- What's the most loving thing I could do now?
- What's the most important thing for me to focus on now?
- What would I do if I knew I could not fail?
- What would I do if there were nothing to fear?

One sentence distilled the enormity of personal angst into a few haunting words. Looking for answers - who isn’t? Continues...
