If you believe you can do something, then you almost certainly can, provided you are open to learning. Simple as that. Listening to negative self-talk is one of the reasons why we may have difficulty creating success in our lives. We give up after spending a week dieting and exercising because we suddenly decide it isn't worth it, perhaps we'd do better at something else, let's just switch the channel... Our inner critic has put us off. Whatever we're trying to achieve, we need to have a broader perspective - to validate what we have achieved so far and to energize ourselves with the vision that initially inspired us.
What you really, really want is not something directed by fear, it’s inspired by love - by sharing, self-expression and service. As Brian Tracy says, "The key to success is to focus our conscious mind on things we desire not things we fear." Love always rules over fear because it reflects our true nature and power, and also attracts support from others and the universe.
Grief isn't like an illness we recover from. Instead of feeling sorry for ourselves, we would do better to celebrate the life of our loved one, have gratitude for our experiences together, treasure the memories we keep, and continue to hold the person close to our heart forever. When the process of grief is complete we come to a place of acceptance and inner peace. Our love is still embraced, not forgotten.
