The keyword for the Moon is to react. This implies that the Moon acts because of something else. It reflects something else. The Moon can bring a sympathetic nature or moodiness. It has a rhythmic effect, either in sync or out.  Some keywords for the signs are mentioned below.

Moon In Aries

The Moon (to react to) in Aries (energetic and urgent).

You tend to react to things emotionally (water), although your response is swift, short and soon forgotten (urgent, cardinal). You feel things deeply, but not for long. You can find new things to react to (enterprising) and you express yourself from your own feelings (active). There is an honesty about this (active).

Moon in Taurus

The Moon (to react to) in Taurus (Enduring and Possessive).

You tend to react to lasting and permanent (relatively) things in the past (passive). Your emotional expression is usually held back (fixed sign) by your practical nature (earth). Once you have formed a way of feeling about something, you may be reluctant or unable to change it (fixed). You are concerned about material security (earth) and may feel uneasy until you are secure. Many emotionally charged beliefs can come from the mother (Moon), yet you may persist with them through your life. Because you react to things in a possessive way, you may be jealous or envious.

Moon in Gemini

The Moon (to react to) in Gemini (Versatile and Variable).

You are able to express your emotions in an appropriate way with others (versatile) and you may express yourself emotionally in a variety of ways. You have a need for mental stimulation (air), perhaps of various kinds (variable). You can often express emotions to suit the person you are with (versatile), and appear sympathetic (or insincere).   Because of the changing nature of your emotions (variable) you might not know what you really feel or want (air). You may express your emotions for your own benefit, and therefore be thought manipulative.

Moon in Cancer

The Moon (to react to) in Cancer (Instinctive and Protective)

You react to things in an instinctive way, and in order to be protective of others. You are good at thinking up new ideas (cardinal), which are emotionally based (water). You are deeply (water instinctive) sensitive (water) but you can harden yourself so you do not show your feelings or upsets (crab shell). You may withdraw physically or mentally to avoid the consequences of being too sensitive (crab).

Moon in Leo

The Moon (to react to) in Leo (Impressive and Creative)

You need to make a grand impression in order to feel good emotionally. You may be very proud of your early upbringing (Moon). You also might use your emotional power to forcefully (fire) influence others (drama queen). (impressive and creative) You generally have a constant emotional disposition and enduring emotional viewpoints (fixed). You are creative and, once started, you persist with your ideas.

Moon in Virgo

The Moon (to react to) in Virgo (Analytical and Critical)

You can adapt (mutable) yourself emotionally as needed in dealing with people. You may not feel right unless you are involved in your work (Virgo). You can use your ability to separate emotions and facts (analytical), and your practical nature (earth) means you can deal effectively with emotional issues. You be sensitive (react to) criticism, and criticise emotionally, especially when you feel that others are not doing their bit.

Moon in Libra

The Moon (to react to) in Libra (Diplomatic and Harmonious)

You react to others in a friendly and fair way. You are thoughtful (air), and always thinking up new things to do (cardinal), and ways to interact with others (interpersonal). To feel good (Moon) about your dealings with others (interpersonal) you have a need to be fair and friendly, avoiding conflict. You may find it hard to understand your emotions (air) and be concerned whether you are being sincere (cardinal).

Moon in Scorpio

The Moon (to react to) in Scorpio (Intense and Secretive)

You react to events in your life by concealing your intense emotions from others. Emotional reactions (water) may therefore simmer below the surface (secretive), giving a possible sudden outburst, and surprising others. You may tend to bear grudges (fixed), which you may bear for a long time in secret. You may be driven by emotional feelings and viewpoints (passive) from the past experience (or early childhood) (Moon).

Moon in Sagittarius

The Moon (to react to) in Sagittarius (Free and Tolerant)

To feel good about yourself, you may need to travel in search of freedom and to show tolerance. You are versatile and adaptable with emotional expression (mutable) and you follow your own feelings (active). You may lose your temper (fire) and express unexpected, by others, emotions. This may not be consistent with your public orientation.

Moon in Capricorn

The Moon (to react to) in Capricorn (Prudent and Reserved)

Your ability to start new things (cardinal) may be governed (passive) by your emotions (Moon, react to) and you might not feel good unless you are being practical (earth) and holding back your feelings (reserved). You may find that what you are doing is not what you really want (passive), but you will probably carry on anyway (fixed), doing what you have always done (react to) because it has given you the material wherewithal to live well (prudent).

Moon in Aquarius

The Moon (to react to) in Aquarius (Indifferent and Unconventional)

Being unemotional, indifferent and doing things differently may have a strong emotional base (react to). You may tend to think about your emotions rather than experience them or express them (air). This may produce some conflict within you. You tend to have fixed emotional feelings (fixed sign) which conflict with your desire to be unattached. Your emotional nature (Moon) may, however, make you a much more likeable person.

Moon in Pisces

The Moon (to react to) in Pisces (Impressionable and Inspirational)

You are very sensitive to emotions in your environment (water). You may find you are somewhat controlled by emotions in others, and sometimes you are sympathetic about them (mutable sign). You are in general affected by emotions rather than affecting others (passive). You might find many things in life challenging because of intense emotional reactions.
