Inspiration for Your Soul
THE MEDITATION ROOM
This is a place where you can unwind, relax and be inspired! Poetry, music and pictures - a place where you can let the cares of the day melt away and you can receive fresh insight and understanding on the issues that matter most. The Meditation Room speaks directly to your Heart and Soul.
The series of short Inspiration for Your Soul poetic meditations is written to nurture enlightenment in anyone who is going through one of these fundamental challenges in life. They are written by Wallace Huey and illustrated by videos produced by Peter Shepherd.
Wallace draws inspiration for his poetic meditations from his Celtic roots and from the people and mist shrouded landscape and seascape of his Irish homeland. In ancient times Ireland, an island in the Atlantic Ocean and the most remote part of Europe, had monasteries and retreats built on mountain summits, river estuaries and island crags. This mystical island was known as the Land of Saints and Scholars. For millennia Irish men and woman have been inspired by this rich heritage to script spiritual poetry and prose. Examples of such writers stretch from Saint Patrick in the 5th century to modern poets like John O'Donohue.

And here is a meditation and a prayer written by Peter Shepherd
(the second inspired by the Lord's Prayer)...
Be Here Now
|
Just be here now and enjoy the moment...
Your regrets from the past - you don't need them now, just let them go...
Your worries about the future - you don't need them now, just let them go...
As we relax and our mental activity settles down, like waves settling on an ocean, we become still...
Consciousness reaches its most silent state, serene and unbounded...
We realize that this is our true Self, beyond time and space...
A presence in the ocean of loving consciousness...
As Jesus said, "The kingdom of God is within you."

My Daily Prayer
|
My source in the spiritual realm,
I celebrate your presence with me here.
Let me be guided by unconditional Love
and be of service for the highest good.
Thank you for the abundance I receive,
and please forgive my mistakes,
as I forgive those who cause me difficulties.
Help me to fulfill my purpose, uphold my values,
and be understanding and compassionate.
With all my love.
