The Goal That Does Not Exist!
By Wallace Huey
What is the smallest possible step?
Where do we apply it?
When do we apply it?
Great things are built from small steps. And the smaller the steps, the greater the thing that can be built.
How is this?
Picture a bridge that you want to build. This bridge is between where you are and where you want to be. It is the bridge that makes all things possible.
In modern education (indoctrination) we are all taught to have a goal. This goal is in our future. It is never in our present. Then if we are ambitious, we have a very big goal. And we are, by the mores of the education establishment, destined to be one of life’s winners. However if we have set ourself such a huge goal, we can only become a winner by failing to reach it. That is because we then have a chance to learn humility and to escape the treadmill to stress and overwhelm that accompanies the single minded pursuit of every big goal.
However don’t get me wrong. I am not advocating that we do not have any goals. Goals provide direction and excitement and inspire people to give of their best - and the bigger the goal the more the inspiration.
So what’s the problem?
The problem is when our own sense of self worth is attached to achieving that goal. Then we become driven, manic, stressed and impossible to get along with.
So let’s commit to having a big goal, but let’s have fun with it. Here at Trans4mind we have a goal that by the year 2026 we will have 1 million participants in our training. Ha Ha Ha.
Will we reach our goal? I have no idea. Does it matter? Not at all! But we are all going to have a lot of fun traveling that path, and that’s the important thing. To have fun with your life.
So how do we intend to reach this massive goal. We take each step and break it down. Eventually by breaking down the steps needed to reach this goal we come to the smallest possible step and that we can do right away and succeed right away.
And more importantly because this first step is so small there is no stress. And we live, work and play in the present moment.
We are now engaged in taking our 29 completed workshops to market. We could offer them all at once and we did, but that has met with some resistance. So we offered them one module at a time. And that has still met with resistance. So we made the goal smaller and we are now offering one workshop as the business leader’s first experience of our training. But it’s not just any workshop... It’s the workshop that our life assessment service has helped them identify as their most helpful. And then by surrounding that life assessment and first workshop with value added consultancy, we have a high value product offering, that will meet with the absolute minimum of resistance.
Of course we have 28 other workshops to sell. And how that can happen will reveal itself in time. You see, living in the present moment and traveling life’s journey one step at a time, is the opposite of having grand plans and achieving huge goals in order to “prove yourself.”
Prove what exactly?
In the present moment we have a goal, but the goal is invisible. It does not exist. The goal is simply to serve. Serve whom? Serve the person in front of you. The entire Trans4mind University of Personal Development has been built through Peter and I serving the person who was before us. We never had a plan. We never had a strategy. But we were filled with love and a desire to serve humanity.
So in Trans4mind we do have a goal, but it is invisible. It exists only in the love we carry in our hearts. Such an approach is regarded as nonsense by the educated and those with the awards for good practice. However Trans4mind stands as a great University of Personal Development Online. And that cannot be denied.
Its truth and integrity are self evident. Born out of the present moment and a consciousness of the infinite.
