Spiritual Power: Why Truly Humble People Often Seem Arrogant
By Wallace Huey
I am God!
Does this seem arrogant to you? I really mean it. In my life I draw on a power that is available to everyone but it is a power of which most remain unaware. This power is Divine. It flows through me and I flow with it everyday. So what does this power make me? And what does it make you?
You are God as well!
People with huge spiritual power often seem arrogant because they are aware of this power. They channel this power every day and use it to take on enormous tasks, often unsupported by society. These tasks are inevitably what the world needs now. And what the world needs now is for people to wake up and claim their true heritage as Divine Beings. This has always been urgent of course, but today it has moved from being urgent to being imperative.
The world needs millions of people to wake up to their inherent Divinity so that they can act to save human society from the mire into which it is sinking deeper every day.
So this post is an invitation to wake up!
Every human being was born to stride across the world as a giant and leave his mark. Nothing is to be gained from our playing small. We are Gods, all of us, and we need to own our divinity and express it in the world.
If you were to now throw aside the self imposed limitations of a deluded life and claim your rightful place as a walking, breathing God, what would you do with your life? How would you relate to other people? To what would you devote your energy?
I want to invite you for a moment to close your eyes immediately after reading this paragraph and to imagine yourself without limitation, without being shackled to one of your former follies, to imagine yourself free, limitless and infinitely powerful, then to ask inwardly, “To what can I devote my life?” Then wait within for an answer... and write it down. This is your mission, this is your destiny. And this is the vision that only you can bring to the world.
Marianne Williamson famously wrote...
In that light lies our true destiny. You see how this is beginning to sound arrogant. But it’s absolutely true.
True humility means a person is willing to learn, that’s all. It has nothing to do with our playing small. And the people with the most humility have learned the most, and they are the ones, because they declare their greatness, who the uninitiated consider arrogant and vain.
But we are humble and aware of our Divinity and channel this power every day of our life. And God is big and powerful.
Deal with it!
