Here are some quick tips to find truly great gifts for your loved one that they will remember for a long time.
Can you remember all the gifts that you received last Christmas? Many people might remember one or two, but not much else, what about five years ago? However if you received the right gift you will remember it forever. You probably have one or two gifts that stick out in your memory. Picking the perfect gift is not about novelty, buying something expensive or buying something odd. Buying the perfect gift is knowing a person well enough to understand what they really want or need. Sometimes knowing more than that person needs even more than they do.
If you want to find that perfect gift you have start early. If you ever go shopping with the person find out their style, what colors they like, what colors make them feel happy? Figure out what kind of things they need. Ask them if you have no clue. If you ask someone in December, they will figure out that you want to buy them a gift, but if you ask the in September or August, it won't register. Put thought into the gift, see what they can really use. Talk to other friends or family members, they will be able to give you hints or fill in pieces of a puzzle. Even if you are their spouse, you might want to ask your spouse's friend, they might have an inside track. Of course knowing everything about the person still won't guarantee a perfect gift, sometimes you just need inspiration. Be creative and shop around. Eventually that lightning bolt will zap you.
