Rotterdam map
Rotterdam has been named as one of the best cities to visit, not only in Europe, but it's even listed among the top 10 best cities in the world! It's a port city located in the western Netherlands and in the province of South Holland. You'll find the city on the Nieuwe Maas, one of the rivers in the delta formed by the Rhine and Meuse. The port of Rotterdam, for many years the largest in the world, is still the largest and most important in Europe.

Rotterdam was bombed during WWII and nearly completely destroyed. Thanks to architects such as Rem Koolhaas, with his unique vision for the future, the city was created anew. The result is a cluster of experimental buildings with respect for space and design. In 2016, Eurostar will stop between London and Amsterdam at the busiest port in Europe, Rotterdam, which makes a visit even easier.
