Laurel Budapest is a modern and creative, Michelin-recommended fine dining restaurant in the city center, characterised by the respect of Hungarian culinary traditions that are combined with French technologies and the fusion of international, particularly Asian cuisine. After welcoming the guests at the entrance, we take you through every step of the culinary experience including the materials we use, technologies we apply, selection of wine, and bringing all this to your table. Our goal is to present the limitless philosophy that we think of the modern Hungarian gastronomy. All is done in a friendly atmosphere in the restaurant with special décor which can be reached through Babérliget bookshop.
We offer you a unique gastronomic experience led by our chef, Ádám Mede, who worked in several Michelin star restaurants before becoming chef of Laurel Budapest and brought the award of the Young Chef Talent of the year by Dining Guide in 2020 and in 2021. His passion is to prepare his dishes with natural ingredients, mainly local and typical for the season. His plates are prepared to be entertaining and easy to understand.

There are two tasting menus available – one of them is completely vegan. Both menus include the same number of courses. You can reserve a table for dinner from Thursday to Sunday, and only on weekends we also prepare a lunch menu, which is a shortened version of our tasting menu.
Laurel Budapest fine dining restaurant under the supervision of Péter Tüű, a two-times sommelier champion of Hungary and Levente Balogh (also one of the most talented young experts) – offers for its wine lover guests rental opportunities in their wine vaults. Inside their wine cellar, there are 104 vaults where the wine is kept under perfect conditions. Guidance, acquisition, storage, and registering are offered along with serving in a unique environment for the passion of wine.
