STEM is an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. Currently, studies have indicated that these streams are the most occupation generators and are high-paying jobs in recent times. It is one of the reasons for many economies of the world thrive. How to introduce STEM to kids

  • Begin at an early age and treat them as innovators. Get them to find and learn and delve into the subject with curiosity and eagerness. Giving them the tools to pick on activities that relate to them and, in turn, apply those to STEM subjects; this way, they will learn the topics that otherwise may appear complicated and dull through play activities.
  • Get them to practice and make it regular as other school subjects and part of the curriculum. This will enable them not to discontinue the learning process and be on the journey of learning STEM-based education.
  • Increasing interest in STEM-related subjects, studies have shown that only 28% of students have an interest in one of the STEM subjects. Very few continue to pursue the interest and evolve, and those who do may not get opportunities because of infrastructure.
  • To get STEM jobs, a person has to pursue higher education, motivating many to pursue further studies because most of the openings and higher pay are for STEM-related jobs.
