Online Quran Recitation and Learning Academy

Narrated by Ibn Majah

“Whoever Reads the Quran and Memorizes It, Allah Will Admit Him to Paradise and Allow Him to Intercede for Ten of His Family Members Who All Deserved to Enter Hell.”

Due to the advancement in technology many people prefer learning the Quran online from home so for the benefit of Muslims, online Quran tutors are available to teach the learners multiple courses including Arabic courses, Quran recitation, Quran memorization, and Ijazah course.

Ijazah Course:
The linguistic meaning of Ijazah is license, authorization, or permission. This is an authorization certificate given to its holder to convey the Quran. Ijazah can only be issued by a person who is already an Ijazah holder. Someone having an Ijazah certificate indicates that he or she is permitted to teach the Quran.

Types of Quran Ijazah:

The Ijazah course has further two options:

  1. Quran memorization Ijazah
  2. Quran recitation Ijazah.

1. Quran Memorization Ijazah(HIFZ):

Narrated By The Prophet Mohammad (PBUH):

“The Most Superior Among You (Muslims) Are Those Who Learn the Quran and Teach It.”

If someone has memorized the Quran with proper Tajweed rules and became hafiz/Hafiz of the Quran that person is issued an Ijazah certificate which means that the person is eligible to teach Quran memorization to others.

This certificate is issued to the person who can read the whole Quran by heart without any mistake and also has perfect knowledge of Tajweed rules.

Quran memorization Ijazah is a basically certification in which the student has read the whole Quran by heart perfectly in front of the Ijazah holder.

2. Quran Recitation Ijazah (Tilawat):

If someone has recited the Quran with proper Tajweed rules that person is issued an Ijazah certificate which means that the person is eligible to teach Quran recitation to others.

This certificate is issued to the person who can read the whole Quran without any mistake and also has perfect knowledge of Tajweed rules.

Quran recitation Ijazah is a certification in which the student has to read the whole Quran in front of the Ijazah holder.

Steps Included In Getting an Ijazah Certificate:

Firstly, the student recites the Quran in front of a qualified teacher.

Secondly, the student has to read Tajweed rules in detail.

Thirdly, the student has to appear in the test where the command in the Tajweed rules is also monitored. If the student clears the test, he/she is granted for enrolling in the Ijazah course upon the recommendation of his/her teacher.

Issuance of the Ijazah certificate is a matter of serious concern. It’s not given to any non-eligible student, after the first reading, still, the student is not guaranteed to get the certificate if a teacher feels that there is still a need for the student to get improved in the reading. The student is passed through the reading second, third or more times if required to get the Ijazah certificate.

Importance/Virtues of Ijazah:

The key importance of an Ijazah is to preserve the quality of conveyance of the Quran through an Ijazah certificate, many Muslims learn to recite and memorize the Quran. It will keep the Quran safe from any changes.

We will be protected from making mistakes in reciting the Quran as the wrong recitation of a single word can change the meaning of the verse.

The teaching of the Quran by someone who is not an Ijazah holder will transmit wrong pronunciation of the Quran which will continue to generations and will make it a long chain. If someone wants to teach the Quran, he/she must take an Ijazah certificate because it will increase their credibility and it will make the students identify such a teacher as a transmitter of the right Quranic teachings.

The 10 Qiraat Course:

Have you ever noticed someone reciting the Quran in a different way than yours and you also want to recite in that mode from a qualified Quran teacher? There are different Qiraats of the Quran with slight differences in the pronunciation of the words and Harakats.

If we go back to the time of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), there were different dialects for the Arabs but the meaning of the words remains the same.
