5 Tips For Living A Spiritually Fulfilled Life

Fulfilled Life

By Elliot Caleira

You are searching for a more in-depth meaning to life. You want something that helps guide and transform you into a better person who walks among those in heavenly realms. People have been searching for this connection since the beginning of time.

Throughout history, this search has led people to move beyond the mundane aspects of life and focus on the miraculous. Rest assured, even the most gifted individuals must work to attain a spiritually fulfilled life. Each person has the potential to be a spiritual being, but it takes time and devotion to develop these practices. Here are five ways that you can enhance your divine nature and live a more contented life.

1. In Everything Give Thanks

Gratitude is something that is hard to master, mainly if you are used to living with a pessimistic view. Even if the rug is being pulled out from beneath you, then you must still learn to be thankful. In good times and bad, keeping optimism will help you dramatically change your outlook.

You must admit that it is hard to be melancholy when you look at things in your life as a blessing. So what if you did not get the job you wanted, you still have a job. You have food on your table and a roof over your head. Be thankful for what you have and the experiences that have got you to this point. Try this new outlook for just a week, and you will see a dramatic shift in your spiritual sense.

2. Start Your Day With Prayer and Meditation

If you check out the SDA Bible commentary online, you will see that there are many references to the word “early” in the Bible. One passage simply says, “early will I seek you.” Start your day out the right way with prayer and meditation. Perhaps, the morning routine is the most difficult to conquer. Everything is crazy as you get ready for work and send the kids off to school. However, before you get the little ones out of bed, why not spend a few moments reflecting and asking for guidance that day?

Did you know that those who take time to tune in spiritually before they start the day are more balanced and have peace of mind? Do not get up and hit the floor running. Take a few moments and extend gratitude and ask for guidance before you ever leave your bed. Mornings are always quiet, which is perfect for meditation. Give yourself just five minutes each morning, and it can revitalize your entire life.

3. Integrate a Meditative State into All You Do

Meditation does not always mean sitting Indian style on the floor with incense burning in the background. There are many ways that you can meditate. Learn to breathe and relax even when everything is going wrong. Why bring meditation along with you during the day? Well, you will find that it can give the most mundane moments meaning. Get rid of the incessant thoughts that try to fill your head and focus on breathing. Your stress levels will decrease, and you will be more content.

4. Watch Spiritual Media

Some of the most spiritual people are the way they are because they watch what they absorb into their spirit mentally. Replace a television show with violence with an uplifting program. A small change can have a significant impact. Be careful what you take into your being.

5. Learn To Enjoy The Journey

Life is what you make it. If you choose joy, then your entire being will reflect it. Call on a higher power in times of trouble. Start each day fresh leaving behind the cares of yesterday. Find something every day to enjoy. Maybe it is a flowering blooming or the sun shining bright, but everyone has something to be thankful for in their journey.
