How Can Astrology Tell Us About
Ourselves and Our Future?
Astrology and horoscopes are often thought of as the same thing, but the former is actually much more accurate than the latter. Astrology, the study of the movements and relative positions of celestial bodies, such as stars and planets, and how these affect human life, has been practiced for thousands of years.
Unlike horoscopes, which have been denounced by almost every scientific association in existence because they’re completely inaccurate, astrology is still widely used by many people today to learn about themselves and their future and to improve their lives.
What is Astrology?
Astrology is a study of your inner self, in contrast to your outer self. Astrology predicts how you will react in various situations based on what is happening in your life at that point. For example, when it comes to dealing with money, there are several factors that determine how you act: where you were born and what sign you are.
If you were born during a time when people’s biggest concern was earning enough money to get through each day (the 1920s, for example), then being frugal would be a logical choice. If you were born during a time when money was everywhere (the 1990s), then spending your hard-earned cash without guilt might make more sense.
The basic principle of Astrology
Astrology is an ancient form of divination that relies on a system of celestial signs to make predictions regarding human affairs. Astrology literally means reading stars or telling a story in the stars.
The information obtained from astrology is predominantly based on planetary movements, specifically how they affect us here on Earth.
It has been practiced for centuries by many different cultures, but today it continues to attract the attention of an estimated 35 million people worldwide. Astrology has three basic principles: Signs, Planets, and Houses.
Is Astrology a Science?
Astrology is a pseudoscience that uses celestial bodies to predict one’s future. It is based on the fact that stars, planets, and other cosmic elements have a metaphysical effect on individuals born under their respective signs. A lot of people believe in Astrology; however, there is no scientific evidence that supports its claims.
This means that we cannot say for sure whether Astrology is a science or not. Moreover, Astrology does not rely on experiments, data collection methods, or other hard-core scientific principles but rather relies mostly on ethereal superstitions that are strongly embedded in ancient folklore traditions. Nevertheless, some scientists admit it may be possible to study certain correlations between celestial events and human behaviors.
Modern Astrology Hypothesis
The Modern Astrology Hypothesis proposes that we're born with a set of traits, like tendencies toward personality types or potential career paths. We've got roughly 12 core personality types based on four sets of complementary traits: extroversion vs. introversion, thinking vs. feeling, sensing vs. intuition, and judgment vs. perception.
This hypothesis also states that human personality is influenced by zodiacal light, a subtle, nearly invisible radiation given off by stars and other celestial objects. The alleged effect is based on metaphysical speculation rather than experimental evidence. In fact, there is no scientific evidence supporting it.
Significance of Planetary Movements in our Lives
Each planet in our solar system governs different aspects of our lives, and there are many ways we are influenced by planetary movements. For example, according to Greek mythology, Saturn is associated with wisdom, structure, and work. Jupiter is associated with growth, luck, and abundance.
The last thing you want to do if you’re trying to learn more about yourself is limit your perspective on what influences you (and how). We’re not saying everyone should seek out a psychic reading—you’ll find that most of your answers are already inside of you (and in your journal!) but it certainly doesn’t hurt to explore your options!
Why is Astrology Important?
Astrology is significant because it helps people in two very important ways. First, it gives them a sense of identity by letting them know that they’re not alone—that there are other people who share their experiences. Second, it gives them hope by allowing them to look forward to a brighter tomorrow.
Without knowing what’s going to happen next, where would we be? What would we have left to look forward to? And for many people, what would become of their dreams? Astrology is all about helping individuals understand themselves better—their hopes, dreams, and aspirations—and work toward making those things a reality.
The planetary ruler
Every zodiac sign is assigned a planet that rules over it, and most of these planets have traits and meanings of their own. While you may not feel totally connected to Uranus (the ruler of your Sun sign) or Mars (the ruler of your rising sign), knowing what characteristics these planets embody can help you understand why people with similar sun signs act as they do.
In addition, even if you’re not a fan of these planet rules, there are so many ways in which astrology impacts your life—it all comes down to how you use it. For example, Venus (your planetary ruler) has traits associated with love and money; knowing more about Venus will help you gain insight into how those relate to both your personal relationships and career.
In order to achieve your full potential, it is necessary to develop an understanding of your true nature. Vedic Astrology allows you to understand yourself, who you are, how you think, and where you will go. With astrological tools at your disposal, it will be much easier for you to take on life’s challenges head-on. Plan ahead using horoscopes! Horoscopes will help you stay focused on what’s most important in life.
