What is the Samsung Health Monitor app?
How to Download the App

Samsung's Health app contains all your health tracking stats. But just in case you want to review your stats, see how the app is working, and/or review your photos, here's how to download the app:

How to Download the Samsung Health App

  1. First of all, Click Here to get the Samsung health app.
  1. Download the app to your device.
  1. You'll be given the option to either scan your wristband (or whatever hardware you want to use) or enter your first name and password.
  1. Click "Scan" and then "Create Account". The Samsung Health app will ask you to give it permission to access your location and your contacts.
  1. In just a few seconds, you should have the app downloaded to your device.

Why should you download Samsung Health?

The Samsung Health app provides all of the basic activity tracking features you need, but if you're looking to dive into a little more, here are the details:

Alarms and notifications: You can set alarms and notifications that'll alert you when your fitness stats, which are being tracked by the app, have changed.

The app also includes a detailed "Daily Step Count" tab, which has graphs and charts you can view at any time to see exactly how active you've been during the day.

Calories burned: You can also use the app to burn calories by walking or running. There are also options to track your heart rate while walking and while running.

Heart rate: The app also tracks your heart rate, and there are plenty of graphs and charts in the Health app that let you track your heart rate (or any other heart rate value) with ease.

Mood tracking: One of the coolest features of the app is the ability to monitor your moods through a series of charts and graphs.

Stats and tools: There's a comprehensive section of the app that features an assortment of useful stats and tools that'll help you manage your life, your health, and your fitness.

It's also unclear as to whether or not Samsung plans to offer additional metrics in the future, such as blood pressure tracking.

In other words, a few of the features in the app may change in the future. So, for now, you should hold off on downloading the app, unless you know you're OK with all the unknowns.

Samsung Health Review

Samsung has spent the last few years attempting to build a large ecosystem around its own devices.

We've already talked about how the company's smartwatch line is an ecosystem unto itself. But it's the Samsung Health app that gives us the best window into the company's overall plan.

The app offers a great deal of information, which is a big part of why it's so interesting. What's really interesting, however, is the app's ability to track your activity.

Samsung Health is a de facto wristband/wearable health tracker in its own right, and it offers a wide range of features that are worth exploring if you're looking to track your activity.

In addition to basic activity tracking, the app includes a sleep tracker, an altimeter (to measure elevation), the option to set daily step goals, and more.

You can also view detailed graphs and charts of your stats, including a daily step count, calories burned, and a detailed history of the things you've done over the past week, week, month, or year.

In general, the app's design is pleasant and functional. There's nothing wrong with the app's functionality or design.

The app's various stats are very informative, and the amount of data the app provides is incredibly impressive but we feel that Samsung Health's interface isn't quite polished.

If you're interested in testing Samsung Health, you can download the app for free from the provided link above.
