In this pacy life, with all the hassles and tussles of life, we forget something important that is the backbone of our competency in this world — Body and Mind!
Time is today’s currency and that is one hell of a treasure to be protected. So, while you don’t have enough time to pay attention to deteriorating mind and body over the daily routine, you need to look for options in this digital era that can save time.
Regardless to say that with half the earth’s population having smartphone ownership, digital options are not so much of a farfetched idea. While you are using mobile apps for shopping, music streaming, video streaming, gaming, etc. using an app to help your body and mind improve will never hurt.
Here, we are going to discover five apps that can change the way you see your body and mind!
1. MyFitnessPal:
One-stop app for all your daily tracking activities of your body. MFP(MyFitnessPal), currently owned by a sports brand called “Under Armour”. This app lets you track your food intake on a daily basis by allowing you to logit into the app through a personalized journal.
You can also track the amounts of water that you drink with options for adding compatible wearable device data to the app. This can help you track your workouts, steps and calories burned. It also helps to count your regular calorie intake.

App provides encouragement to the users to achieve targets initially set during the registration and onboarding of users. The application uses gaming theory for user engagement and encourages target achievement. The sense of goal achievement drives many users to this app.
It is considered as one of the top health apps for 2019 and is quite popular among health trackers and weight watchers.
2. Sleepcycle:
Sleep can be deceptive, as many think oversleeping can reduce productivity, a report states that sleeping well can increase your salary! Sleeping well maybe the sole reason to earn more, jokes apart, sleeping is considered one of the most vital health problems in the modern world.
Sleepless nights can curtail your lifespan and several diseases can occur on a recurring basis. From the people who slept less than 7 hours a day, 33% are reported overweight, which can lead to health risks like heart problems, swollen liver, and diabetes. Further, 27% of them are physically inactive which is definitely not a good indication for health.

This is where sleepcycle comes in. I have personally used the app and it's recommended highly for sleep analysis, identifying sleep patterns and peak hours when you really deep sleep. These data can help you know optimal timings to go for sleep and wake up for a day filled with energy.
3. Fooducate:
Browsing the food items in a grocery store, looking over the labels for nutrition information to decide whether to go for the food or not! This is a very common dilemma for any normal person. Knowing what to eat is a bit of a challenge these days as every other health journal or article would refer to some foods unhealthy and the same are tagged healthy by some experts.

But, what if an Artificial Intelligence algorithm can decide whether the food is right for you or not? And here comes Fooducate - an app where you can scan the barcode on the label of your food item and its algorithm will tell you whether the food is fit for health or not based on the grading system- A, A+, A-, B, B+, B-, etc. Based on the grade, the food is rated. The obvious being, more natural the food higher the rating.
4. Happify:
As of 2017 statistics suggests 284 million people suffering from anxiety disorders. As the happiness index world over is quite low and people are subjected to more mental issues due to work stress and other personal reasons, there is also this ignorance towards it that makes the matter worse.

Happify begs to differ as it offers mental health solutions through its application. Many enterprises are now trying to build apps like Happify through state-of-the-art mobile app development methods. During the onboarding process, the app uses a questionnaire to score the happiness of a user. Further, it provides some tricks and traits that you can follow to lead a healthy life.
The app has more than 50 activities to its core with themed tracks to be followed. Each of these tracks like for example, I answered a questionnaire and reached for the track page as can be seen in the below image and I chose a free track named “Cope better with stress”, as you can see there are several activities to reach silver and gold badges.

It states that it can improve resilience and reduce stress for a better and more stress-free life. As you move towards the free track there will be another set of questionnaire and then there will be tasks assigned to you in phases.
5. HealthTap:
It is a consulting app for patients and health advice seekers. This app was designed with the sole purpose of connecting users to doctors and health experts for consultation and health-related questions. This is no doubt a revolutionary app as it does not charge its users for any consultations.

With dedicated apps for users and doctors, HealthTap has been able to accommodate close to 40,000 physicians and doctors on their platform and over 1 million users on the Android platform alone. This has been a comprehensive first step and there were several such apps following up the trail of healthcare solutions.
Wrapping it up:
Keeping up with the stress, anxiety, fatigue and monotonous chores of daily life is difficult and can be considered as the most prolific reason for health risks and diseases. With people deprived of peace, rest, sleep and happiness, we see rising mental issues leading to suicidal tendencies.
With proven technologies by these apps as we explored some of the people can certainly cope up with mental, physical and emotional issues to lead a blissful life and help them curate a better body and mind.
