Smoking is also known to thicken the blood and prevent it from travelling throughout the body as quickly. There are a lot more reasons to think about quitting smoking, but improving vein health might be one of the most significant.
3. Drink Enough Water
Doctors recommend drinking half of your overall body weight, in ounces, per day.
So, if you weigh 150 pounds, you'd need to drink around 75 ounces of water per day to be at your best. When you drink enough water, your blood thins and is able to flow more speedily through your body.
Not to mention that drinking enough water is great for the brain and other areas of your body as well.
4. Elevate and Stretch
Try your best not to sit or stand in the same position all day. Extended periods of time in the same spot, especially when you're sitting, can discourage good circulation and lead to issues.
This is especially true if you're sitting day in and day out at your job and at home. Take breaks every hour or so to stretch and get your blood flowing properly before you sit back down.

Finally, make sure that you're having a professional take a look at your body on a regular basis. Issues with vein health aren't always apparent right away, so it's crucial that you consult with someone who can analyze your blood and make sure it's all flowing the way it should.
