Therefore, it is recommended to reduce the intake of foods rich in saturated fats and increase foods that increase HDL levels – the "good" cholesterol. HDL helps to clear fatty plaques that build up in blood vessels. Thus, investing in a diet rich in fiber, fruits vegetables, vegetables, lean meats, and mono- and poly-saturated fats is a great choice.
