Things to Know About Vaping

An electronic vaporizer is an electronic device which essentially simulates smoking tobacco. It usually consists of a tank, an atomizer, and a power source like a rechargeable battery or USB cord. Rather than smoke, the smoker inhales only vapor. Since such devices do not use smoke from a tobacco blend, they are often described as "vapourisers". Since a vapourizer simply puts out vapour rather than smoke, many voters believe that it is less harmful than smoking tobacco. However, some experts still dispute this; saying that because a vapourizer does not burn the individual's lungs to release the smoke, they are doing little to reduce the damage smoke does to the body.

Water vapor is the most common type of "juice" used in vaporizers and other electronic cigarettes and other devices. Most vaporizers that contain nicotine have a water reservoir in which the vapour is stored. Most of these devices also contain small amounts of propylene glycol (like propane) and small amounts of a preservative known as BHA. The main difference between the juice and vapour is that juice contains much more sugar than a vapour.

While there has been some concern about the fact that using vapour instead of juice may be less harmful than smoking, recent studies seem to suggest otherwise. A recent study into two vaporizing devices found that smokers who tried these products for an extended period of time actually had less harmful lung function than those who smoked tobacco. It is not clear whether this was caused by the flavoring in the products (which contained nicotine), but it is comforting to know that you don't have to give up your favourite flavours if you want to quit.

Some of the dangers of e-juice are the same as those of smoking cigarettes, and you should really stop and think about what you are doing. Scientific studies have proven that long-term exposure to some very dangerous chemicals can kill you. Antibodies such as neutrophils and macrophages are activated when you smoke, which basically means that they go on alert mode. This is good, but these same neutrophils and macrophages cannot fight infection if you are also smoking, so you are taking a double step when you smoke.

Not only is the evidence that smoking is bad for your health, but the evidence that vapour smoking is even worse. According to the Vaping Society of America, people who vape while they are smoking have four times more cancerous cells than those who don't. The Vaping Society also claims that people who use vaporisers when they are smoking have nearly twice the number of dangerous particles in their lungs as people who don't. These facts seem pretty convincing to me, but I am not a medical expert, so I would advise you to do your own research and draw your own conclusions.

In conclusion, let me strongly recommend that you quit using all tobacco products, including e-liquid. Stop using cigarettes, too, if you must. If you really can't quit both, then at least don't use them together. But if you feel that your health can't be trusted any more to non-tobacco companies, then I would suggest that you go out and find a good quality electronic liquid that you like, such as the Vaporfect Vapor Juice line by Blu-ergy or the Fruit Juice Doctors by Shaklee.
