Taking Care of Your Whole Self
As a woman, where do you find your self-worth? Is it in being a good mom, your career, your marriage, your appearance, or how about even your weight? We will find our self-worth in something and what may seem normal to us can seem totally crazy to others but it’s all up to the individual. A large number of us will find our value in our appearance and the better we look the better we will feel. Just think about it. When you are on a diet that works and you have lost twenty pounds and have been able to keep it off you feel great about yourself. Don’t you? Or how about after you leave the hair salon with a fresh haircut and a vibrant new hair color to go along with it. You probably feel like a million bucks because I know I do. We don’t have to let anyone else’s opinion about us dictate how we feel and view ourselves but we can do some little things throughout the day and week that will help be the best person we can be inside and out.
Being conscious of the food we put into our body will not only help us keep our body in shape, but it will also help us control things like our blood sugar and cholesterol. Sometimes it helps to have a predetermined diet or menu of what you are going to eat every day. They often refer to this as meal prep or meal planning. It will take a little time and dedication but it pays off for you in more ways than one. You get to control your weight, improve your overall health and when you plan your meals for the week you will never have to worry about what you are going to eat for dinner. You will need a food scale and a vacuum sealer in order to food prep properly because you have to weigh out your food in portions and the vacuum seal it to keep it fresh until you are ready to eat it.
Hair and Nails
Now, ladies we know just how important our hair and nails can be and there is no denying that when we keep our hair and nails done we not only look better but we feel better as well. Part of having a polished look is keeping your hair color in tip top condition and getting your nails done on an every other week schedule. You should always research what the best hair color is for your eyes and your skin tone. Mind and Spirit
Your inner wellbeing is just as important as your outer appearance. If you don’t nurture your spirit and mind you can easily fall into depression and it’s hard to come out of something like that. Seeing a therapist on a regular basis can help you deal with any underlying issues that could cause you to have mental stress. Mental stress can affect every aspect of your life if left untreated. If you have a more severe form of a mental condition there are certain types of medication that you can take but if you can treat yourself the natural way without medication that’s always the better option.
As women it’s imperative that we take care of ourselves and take the time to do things that make us happy. The better care we give ourselves the better we will be able to give care to others.
