Staying Productive and Recharged
with a Busy Schedule

Despite a busy schedule, you can keep from getting flooded by the overwhelming feeling that your workload is just too much. Part of living a balanced lifestyle is knowing what your body needs. You need to take time to recharge once in a while as you need to give your body the tools that it needs to get the things done in the day that needs to be completed.

Get Enough Sleep

It is very important to get enough sleep every night. The amount of sleep you need may vary from the next person but if you are an adult you should aim to get about seven to nine hours of sleep every night. You need to make sleep a priority just as you do with the other tasks that you need to complete during the day.

Getting enough sleep will give you many benefits. you will be in a better mood, you will have more energy and your mind will be sharp so that you can focus on the things that you need to do. You will also be much more efficient. You will be able to focus better and will not get distracted as easily so if you are trying to focus on a project that requires your full attention, you should make sure that you get enough sleep.

You also want to make sure that your bed is comfortable. If you have a mattress that is not very comfortable and you spend hours every night tossing and turning, you may want to consider investing in a new one. You should also have a pillow that supports your neck properly and that is comfortable. You spend about a third of your life sleeping so you want to make sure that you make the most of it.

You will also avoid getting burned out, you will make better decisions, you will be able to remember things better, and you will also make fewer mistakes. If you feel like you are dragging during the day it is a good idea to give yourself a boost and take a catnap for about 10 or 20 minutes.

Eat the Right Foods

There are a number of different foods that you can eat that will help to rev up your brain and to make you productive. Bananas are high in glucose which your brain needs to get the blood circulating and eggs to contain the B vitamin which helps to enhance the memory as well as your reaction time.

These are just a couple of examples of foods that benefit your productivity and there are many more. Depending on what you would like to do whether it be to enhance your memory, sharpen your focus, or improve your memory, there are a number of foods that will help you to achieve mental health. It is also an organic way to get the nutrients that your body needs.

Take Time Out for Yourself

You also need to take time to give back a little to yourself. It can be easy to get run ragged a dot keep going until you burn out but there are a few ways to prevent that. All you need to do is spend a few minutes every day on yourself to keep your mind and body happy.

Take a few minutes to run a bath and do something to treat yourself after a long and daunting day or project. Take yourself out for a cup of coffee or ice cream. Take up a hobby that you have always wanted to try such as painting or drawing. Learn a new musical instrument. Learning a new skill is a great way to release tension and to relax. It's also very rewarding.
