Eating a extra serving of a dark, leafy green will aid in reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease and type 2 diabetes. These healthy foods will even improve a person's mental state.

When you eat, make sure that you are choosing to eat a variety of different fruits and veggies, because they all do something different for the body. They fight to protect your body against aging and disease. Certain colors do certain things such as:

  • Purple and Blue - Supports a healthy heart, brain, and bones, plus they give you antioxidants which help you age well.
  • Pink and Red - Supports the urinary tract, prostate, and DNA.
  • Yellow and Orange - Supports health eyes, good functioning immune system, hydration of the skin, and total growth and development.
  • Dark colored green - supports healthy eyes, artery function, healthy lungs and liver functions.
  • Brown-white - supports bone health, circulatory health, and arterial function.

2. Exercise on a Daily Basis

Physical activity and exercise works to lower your blood pressure, improve cholesterol levels, reduces inflammation and controls weight management gain. Exercise has also been linked in prevention also improving depression disorders and anxiety. Older adults, should exercise to preserve bone mass, reduce the risk of having falls, and lowers the risk of dementia. Even a little exercise can reduce mortal risks in the least of fit people.
