How Can You Escape Anxiety and
Enhance Personal Growth?

Anxiety, as some of you may know, is the natural response of your body when faced with stress. It manifests as a feeling of apprehension or fear about what’s about to come.

For example, most of us feel anxiety when we go to a job interview, talk in public, and so on. We all were pretty anxious on our first day of school – one of the many examples when all of us experience anxiety as children.

In short, anxiety comes with a feeling of nervousness or fearfulness at the thought of doing a particular thing. Naturally, if this feeling lasts for more than six months, then you may have an anxiety disorder.

If you’re struggling with your personal growth due to anxiety, here’s what you can do to escape it and live a better life overall!

Deep, Long Breaths

Let’s start with an easy trick that can help you escape anxiety!

A psychologist showed that deep breathing triggers our body’s relaxation response, which then switches from a flight-to-flight response to a balanced and more relaxed response.

You can start by slowly inhaling, starting down at your belly, and then moving up towards your chest. Hold your breath for roughly 3-4 seconds and then slowly exhale.

Anxiety Relief Products/ Medicine

First of all, you shouldn’t rely on hard medicine if you wish to escape anxiety, as it may lead to addiction.

Instead, we recommend essential oils, natural/ organic medicine, tea therapy, or even to buy CBD oil and take advantage of its calming properties. CBD oil is known to relax both the mind and the body, not to mention that it was shown to help with several disorders, including anxiety.

Proper Sleep

Most of the time, people who experience anxiety fail to sleep properly. However, what some don’t realize is the fact that they sleep poorly contributed to even more anxiety, thus stopping their personal growth – because you can’t be productive if you’re tired.

Therefore, it is highly recommended that you try to sleep at least eight hours every single night – you can rely on warm baths, deep breaths, sheep counting, soothing music, and so on.

Avoid Caffeine

Caffeine is known as a substance that exacerbates anxiety, mainly because it provides an individual with an amped-up feeling, similar to anxiety.

Moreover, when that feeling combines with anxiety itself, the individual may have a hard time focusing on what they have to do or on anything else.

Calming Practices

As mentioned above, it is essential that you learn how to keep your body and mind calm. For example, if you start doing yoga or meditation, you’ll soon learn how to reap the advantages of an hour-long meditation session in a couple of seconds by simply thinking at the right stuff, so to say.

In short, proper meditation and yoga – as well as other calming practices – can come in handy when you’re directly faced with anxiety.

The Bottom Line

Although a fierce enemy, anxiety shouldn’t be the one to stop up, enhance, and achieve personal growth!

This is why you should do your best to escape it, even if it’s in small doses, and even if you suffer from anxiety disorders. Don’t let a simple feeling of nervousness stop you from reaching your full potential!
