Anxiety, as some of you may know, is the natural response of your body when faced with stress. It manifests as a feeling of apprehension or fear about what’s about to come.

A psychologist showed that deep breathing triggers our body’s relaxation response, which then switches from a flight-to-flight response to a balanced and more relaxed response.

You can start by slowly inhaling, starting down at your belly, and then moving up towards your chest. Hold your breath for roughly 3-4 seconds and then slowly exhale.

First of all, you shouldn’t rely on hard medicine if you wish to escape anxiety, as it may lead to addiction.

Proper Sleep

As mentioned above, it is essential that you learn how to keep your body and mind calm. For example, if you start doing yoga or meditation, you’ll soon learn how to reap the advantages of an hour-long meditation session in a couple of seconds by simply thinking at the right stuff, so to say.

In short, proper meditation and yoga – as well as other calming practices – can come in handy when you’re directly faced with anxiety.

Although a fierce enemy, anxiety shouldn’t be the one to stop up, enhance, and achieve personal growth!
