Make These Changes to Become
More Productive

By Mikkie Mills

If you want to be more productive, don't look outward. It's time to look inward. While you can't do a lot to control others and life in general, you can change your mind and change the things around you to create a different life. It's time to get productive.

Stress causes issues for the brain. It prevents clear thought, which gets in the way of productivity. It's important to get rid of stressors where possible. It's important to make a list of whatever bothers you, and make a plan to decrease those stressors however possible. For example, maybe the neighbor is up early Saturday morning using a leaf blower, but you like to sleep in on this day. Go to bed with earplugs, or find a way to play white noise to help drown out the sound.

Resolving Past Issues
Unresolved issues can get in the way of productivity. While you're busy thinking of the past, you can't think of the future, which involves problem solving to some extent. If you want to be functional and productive, you will need to resolve things from your past. Keeping a journal is useful in getting out painful feelings. Once you recognize your feelings, you need to think about when the issue first began and those involved. Take a step to forgive others and forgive yourself for the past. Once you have resolved your issues, don't allow yourself to revisit them.

Raising Deserve Level
If you don't think you deserve something on a subconscious level, you'll find a way to talk yourself out of it, which is usually in the form of self-sabotage. This is where many people get caught up. They either give up before they start on something or they find some way to mess up their success along the way. Once you realize you deserve everything you want, you will go for it, and you will be more productive.

Create Goals
Life is more fun with goals, and it motivates you to accomplish more in life. Whether it's for the year, month, week or the day, create large goals and mini goals for yourself at home and at work. It could be to bulk up your muscles or, at last, write that novel you've long been wanting to write. Go for the job you've always wanted. An executive resume writing service cost can help you update your resume easily. You'll see your progress as you accomplish each one, and you will go to bed satisfied each night. You'll also be more energetic for the following day to accomplish even more. Be sure to take breaks in between accomplishing your goals. You need to remain balanced.

Getting Organized
You need a set schedule in the day to know how much time you can dedicate to any one thing. Without being organized, you'll jump around from one task to the next without much thought. At the end of the day, you'll feel exhausted, but you'll find that you haven't really done much of anything. It's important to know exactly what you need to do with a "to do" list, but you also need to prioritize what's most important and how much time to allot each task.

Once you know exactly what you need to do in the day and how to relax, you need to knock out the harder tasks earlier in the day or tackle the ones that prove most difficult. This will ensure that you get everything done in the day. Do easier tasks that don't require a lot of thought towards the end of the day when you are the most tired. For example, plan out the following day or clean up your desk to get ready for the following morning.
