Payment Options for Slots Deposits Explained

When you are playing and find more online slots, it’s important to know how to deposit your payment so that you can make the most out of your gameplay time. You don’t want to be wasting precious minutes trying to work out how to deposit your money when you could be playing. So it’s a good idea to work out exactly how you’re intending to pay – and how much you’re intending to pay – ahead of time. This guide to the most common types of payment methods used by most of the online casinos will help you get a head start when it comes to playing online slots.

Credit Cards

Credit cards are a popular way of depositing money at online casinos so that you can play slot games. The benefits of using this method is that you can play at any casino around the world since credit cards can be used to deposit many different currencies. The downside is that you are playing with ‘borrowed’ money, and you might overspend as it won’t be coming directly from your bank account.

Take note, it is for this reason that the Gambling Commission has announced that as of 14th April 2020, it will no longer be possible to use credit cards to gamble with in the UK.

Debit Cards

Debit cards are a good option for depositing money in online casinos. They work in the same way as a credit card in that you input the long number, expiry date, and other information (although never your PIN or any other sensitive information; if you are asked for this, do not use the site and instead report it to the authorities), but the money used will leave your bank account immediately.

The benefits are that debit cards are easy to use and that you can easily see what you are spending and implement limits on your deposits. Of course, these are self-imposed limits so the negatives of using a debit card are that not only can you spend too much, but this will leave you in financial issues immediately.

Prepaid Cards

Prepaid cards are a halfway point between debit and credit cards. In order to use them, money needs to be loaded onto them beforehand – once the money is spent, the card can no longer be used until more money is added.

These are very easy cards to use, working in the same way as debit and credit cards, and the best thing about them is that you can load only the money you are willing to spend onto them, ensuring that you don’t leave yourself short or with a big credit card bill at a later date.

E-Wallets

There are a number of different e-wallets around, some of which are better known than others. They include Paypal, Neteller, EcoCard, and EcoPayz. These methods of payment are popular are they are very safe, much safer to use online than debit or credit cards, for example. They work in two ways. You can either pre-load the account with a set amount of money, or you can use a debit card linked to the account. The first option is a much better one if you are worried about overspending.
