6. Horizon Forbidden West

After a solid FPS series called Killzone, Guerrilla Games returns in 2017 to offer us greener patrols, without losing a fascinating story, with Horizon Zero Dawn. A first attempt rather convincing that will give birth to a sequel that is superior in every way and freshly released: Forbidden West.

Forbidden West takes the codes of its elder sister and perfects an already very solid, if somewhat conventional, formula. The gameplay becomes more dynamic with hand-to-hand combat, the navigation in this vast and magnificent world mixing wild nature and futuristic technology becomes more dynamic, and the story gains in depth.

Horizon Forbidden West is powered by a breathtaking story and an absolutely beautiful world. Add to this a monstrous content, dreadful fights and interesting secondary activities and you have one of the best PlayStation exclusivities of the last few years.

7. Marvel's Spiderman

Another Sony exclusive, and not just any Sony exclusive: the pure and simple reinvention of the adventures of our favorite Weaver, whose license rights belong to the Japanese giant. At the helm, we have the veterans of Insomniac Games, who offer us here a lesson in gymnastics that is truly epic.

We play the eternally young Peter Parker, desperately trying to reconcile his life as a student with his life as a New York City superhero. And the result is simply one of the most brilliant video game representations of Spider-Man to date.

Insomniac Games delivers here a technically impeccable Marvel's Spider-Man, with animations, staging and fights to die for. In terms of content, we can reproach a slight lack of inspiration. Marvel's Spider-Man is still a very good title, which provides many hours of gameplay.

8. Tomb Raider: Definitive Survivor Trilogy

We mentioned as one of the canons of the action-adventure genre the first Tomb Raider. And we could not decently omit in this selection the reboot trilogy initiated in 2013 by Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montreal. Inspired by a certain Uncharted on the side of Naughty Dog, the new adventures of the beautiful Lara Croft proved to be exceptional in every way.

We found a young Lara Croft before she became the Tomb Raider we know. A strong but fragile young woman who would experience traumatic early adventures, learn to survive and earn her title of seasoned adventurer with an ice axe.

The true videogame icon that is Lara Croft has been given a superb facelift with this reboot trilogy. Skillfully mixing exploration, action, infiltration and survival, all carried by a high-flying direction, this trilogy is among the canons of the Action-Adventure genre.

9. A Plague Tale: Innocence

To end this selection on a happy note, we propose a trip to the Middle Ages during a plague epidemic, told in a heartbreaking way by the talented Bordeaux-based studio Asobo Studio, entitled A Plague Tale: Innocence.

We play Amicia, a young noblewoman whose comfortable life was about to be ravaged by the massacre of her family at the hands of the Inquisition. The only survivor, along with Hugo, her terribly ill younger brother, whom she will have to get to know, Amicia will have to leave behind her cloak of innocence in order for her and her brother to survive in the terrible climate of the Plague of Rats.

A Plague Tale: Innocence is a real surprise from Asobo Studio, offering us an adventure as sublime as it is heartbreaking, with terribly endearing characters. We can't wait to see Amicia and Hugo again in Requiem!
