8 Steps in Climbing the Ladder of Success

Let's talk about success. It is what we aim for in everything we do. But this time around, the kind of success you will be reading is the one that will change your life, which will enable you to reach your dreams and goals.

You may have been reading random facts of those successful entrepreneurs about what they did to achieve the kind of triumph they have now. In this article, we will make it easy for you.

In aiming for success, there is a process you are going to undergo. There is a step by step process to get you to where you want to be. This Ladder of Success will help you determine those steps.

1st Ladder: YOU

Everything starts with you. If you dream of being successful someday, you should discipline yourself. Have those qualities that successful people possess. You are the one driving the road of your life. Be responsible for it. So whatever did happen and will happen, that all lies to you.

2nd Ladder: Good Learn, and Listening Attitude (G.L.L.A)

Once upon a time, those successful people we know today like Mark Zuckerberg, Oprah Winfrey, Steve Jobs, and many more. They didn't know anything about handling a big company. They only did start with one thing, and that's learning. Aside from money, they are also rich in knowledge.

Learning is everything. It’s our foundation. As someone who doesn't have any idea, you should empty your cup and embrace all the learning necessary. Always be excited about new learnings that will not only help you succeed but also change you and develop your personality.

3rd Ladder: Teach

If you know nothing, then you can’t teach anything. That's why learning is the main ingredient in adapting the keys to success quickly. Through teaching, you will be able to share all the knowledge you have. Your goal is to pass the knowledge necessary to delegate.

4th Ladder: Delegate

In building a company, business venture, or you are handling a team, your responsibilities will be lighter once you appointed your people. You will not carry all the work since you have taught your people and empowered them.

As the team leader, you can focus more on improving and innovating your company and let others handle the technicalities, marketing, finance, etc. Your goal here is to make other people work for you. But before you achieve that, you should train these people before you can delegate.

5th Ladder: Duplicate

A truly successful person should multiply. Learn to train your people to be as good as you. It would be best if you had the same goals as them, the same attitude, same thinking, same beliefs so you could work together as one team.

Building a team is not a comfortable journey. You can encounter people that are not patient enough to learn. But there’s always someone out there as passionate as you. It's best if you have a team that you can rely on for more significant responsibilities for the improvement of everyone and your company.

6th Ladder: Big network

If you know Mark Zuckerberg, Oprah, Ellen, etc., all these successful people have a vast network. Marc Zuckerberg's Facebook has 2.5 billion active users every month. That's how extensive the network of Facebook is right now.

You should have that kind of goal. Aim for a big network. If you are in the technology industry, create something that will solve people's needs and demands. That will help you widen your network.

7th Ladder: Big Income

If you have a big network, then high income follows. But this kind of income is unstoppable; it's what they called passive income. This is the income that every successful business person has. They are earning doing less to nothing. You get to enjoy traveling while making money.

8th and Last Ladder: Dreams and Goals

The last ladder is finally being able to get our dreams and goals. Your dreams and goals are the results of hard work, patience, and perseverance. This is where our DEEPEST WHYs belong; Why and for whom are we doing this. It's what pushes us through in times we feel like quitting.

Takeaway

It is called a ladder of success because there are no shortcuts to success. You will tolerate each of those steps. You are going to encounter many failures and rejections along the process; therefore, it's along the journey to take. And this journey can either make you or break you.
