Improve the hiring process
While you cannot really tell how productive an employee will be until they do the actual work, being thorough in the hiring process will give you a better chance of getting the right people. Take into consideration their skills and experience to better determine if they are suitable for the job. Putting people in the wrong position will affect their output. Placing the right people in the position that will match their abilities will help them flourish, and make them more productive.
Give the right training
Every company has its own process. Even if the employees had previous experience in the same field; they still need to undergo proper training to ensure that they are aware of your policies, goals, and processes. If there is new equipment, strategies, or things that they need to learn, provide continuous training to increase their knowledge and develop their skills even more. This, in turn, will benefit your company when they put what they learn into practice.
Provide employees with what they need
Running out of supplies or not having the things that they need will delay their tasks. Moreover, they could lose their focus if they are working on something, and they are forced to stop because they lack supplies or equipment. Do a regular inventory of office supplies and materials they need for projects to prevent delays. These supplies include office stationery such as pens, paper, envelopes, and folders. Employees need to be aware of the tasks that they are assigned and every detail of them. Make sure that the information reaches them and that they get it on time. They should also be aware of any changes that concern them. For instance, if plans have changed in a project, and some employees have not been informed, they will continue doing tasks that are no longer aligned with the current process. It will just be a waste of time and effort.
