However, how to choose a perfect movie when there are so many of them? Here is a list of eight films for everybody’s taste that will definitely bring you and your partner closer...

1. Casablanca

During the initial stages of World War II, Rick Blaine runs a nightclub in Casablanca that has become a safe place for refugees who want to escape to America. But one day when a former flame of Rick’s, Ilsa arrives at his cafe with her husband, Rick faces a difficult challenge. This great love story teaches us what a solid foundation of every relationship is - trust and commitment.

”Kiss me. Kiss me as if it were the last time.”

2. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

After realizing that his girlfriend Clementine erased all memories of him, Joel comes to the decision to do the same. However, he discovers that he still has feelings for her as his memories of her start to vanish, and it may be too late to repair the damage. This fantastic movie teaches us that fights and getting hurt are an integral part of being in love and they are among things that make love worthwhile.

”Constantly talking isn’t necessarily communicating.”

3. Date Night

Phil and Claire Foster are a married couple whose life consists of working and taking care of the children. Still, they have a tradition of a date night when they go out and spend some quality time together. Being afraid that they could be in a rut, Phil decides to do something different for a date night. This comedy shows you the beauty of getting out of your comfort zone, but also to appreciate everyday routines.

”Why don’t they ever a make a movie about what happens after they kiss?”

4. Titanic

Rose and Jack, members of different social backgrounds, fall in love aboard the extravagant, ill-fated R.M.S. Titanic. The film is based on a real-life event - a maiden voyage of a British passenger liner across the North Atlantic Ocean in 1912. This emotional tearjerker story encourages you to get the most of your love because you never know when it might end.

”A woman’s heart is a deep ocean of secrets.”

5. Groundhog Day

A weatherman unwillingly covers a story about a weather forecasting “rat.” He is frustrated because this is his fourth year on the story, and he doesn’t hide it. When he wakes up the following day, he realizes that it’s Groundhog Day again. At first, he takes advantage of it, but then he understands that he’s going to relive that day for eternity. This amazing film teaches us that every day is a new chance to become the best self and the best partner.

”Well, what if there is no tomorrow? There wasn’t one today.”

6. Adam’s Rib

When a woman tries to kill her heartless husband, prosecutor Adam Bonner gets the case. Unluckily, his wife Amanda, a lawyer too, defends the woman in court. Everyday work quarrels start interfering with their perfect marriage. This classic reminds us to appreciate both the feminine and masculine side and take another perspective.

”All I’m saying is, there’s lots of things a man can do, and in society’s eyes it’s all hunky-dory. A woman does the same thing—the same thing mind you—and she’s an outcast.”

7. Silver Linings Playbook

Former teacher Pat Solitano moves back in his parent’s house after a stint in a mental institution and tries to make up with his ex-wife. He meets Tiffany, a baffling girl with problems of her own and things get more challenging. This interesting movie inspires us to honor the crazy side of ourselves and not to take life too seriously.

”The world will break your heart ten ways to Sunday. That’s guaranteed. I can’t begin to explain that. Or the craziness inside myself and everyone else. But guess what? Sunday’s my favorite day again. I think of what everyone did for me, and I feel like a very lucky guy.”

8. Friends with Benefits
