5 Fun Ways to Entertain Your Guests This Weekend

You have a great time with your husband or wife. You're really excited about that. The two of you are in love, and you want to celebrate that by having a get together with your family and friends. However, you don't want to spend too much money on entertainment. After all, you're celebrating love, not blowing your life savings on snacks and booze. And you want an entertaining evening without any stressful planning. So what do you do?

It's simple. Just follow the tips below for how to keep your party fun, entertaining and affordable:

Entertain Your Guests
  • Watch a Movie Under the Stars

Bring your own blanket, snacks and beverages, and enjoy a movie under the stars this weekend. Make a meal beforehand to make it even more of a fun get together with friends. You can have a theme for your movie night or just play whatever is on.

  • Go Retro and Rock a Casio

Yep, they're still around, and they're fun to play. Remember how you used to call your friends with one of these back in the '90s and annoy them? Well, now you can annoy your friends, your family and anyone who passes by your place by having a little music fun with a digital version. Yes, this one is technically a toy, but the musician in you will love it.

  • Plan a Picnic With All Things Summer

Being a host at an event is stressful, but planning a picnic can be an easy way to entertain without the pressure of having all of the answers. A picnic can consist of anything that you can find in nature. This could include, but is not limited to, picking fruit and nuts off trees, finding rocks and flowers along a trail, digging up your own garden, etc. Pack a lunch or dinner in a basket and have everyone carry their own. Remember to have your guests bring something as a contribution, whether it be a bottle of wine or something you need for the picnic such as utensils or plates.

  • Create a Photo Booth for Your Friends to Enjoy

The party photo booth is a time-honored way to capture all of your friends' silly faces and keepsake moments. Use your phone or a tablet as a camera and get everyone in on the fun by snapping selfies and silly shots. You can even print out photos at home using your computer and printer or use a site like Shutterfly that lets you create tabletop photo displays in just minutes.

  • Take Quizzes

There are tons of fun quizzes you can take on your phone. Some will tell you which Disney princess you are based on your personality, others will give you a full profile of your personality type, and some will even force you to make some tricky decisions between life-saving scenarios.

The best thing about these quizzes is that they are fast, fun and a great way to connect with friends. (On my group of friends' group chats, I've started the trend of sending funny, but still somewhat accurate, quizzes to the group).

Final Words

The most important thing to remember when entertaining your guests is to relax, have fun and enjoy their company. It would be easy to get overwhelmed with trying to plan intricate details such as creating a special menu and preparing an elaborate activity for your guests but it is the little things that make a big difference.
