Helpr App Disrupts the Childcare Industry
with On-Demand Babysitting
Fun nights out as a parent can be very rare. It takes days of planning and maneuvering. This is why it is so devastating to have your babysitter cancel at the last minute.
Becka Klauber Richter and Kasey Edwards, entrepreneurs, have set out to make sure this never happens again to parents.
On-Demand Babysitting App
The launch of Helpr, a dynamic helpr-app.com that connects highly qualified and screened babysitters with parents, was celebrated earlier this year. Every babysitter goes through a thorough screening process. This includes interviews with the babysitter, background checks, double-references, and CPR certification.
It is easy to use and there is no subscription fee. Parents can save money by booking childcare through Helpr using FSA dollars. They can also earn points for travel and reward with care payments to their credit cards.
Helpr's platform doesn't just cater to parents who are in a rush. Helpr is currently working with many employers and HR departments to create comped and subsidised childcare programs, in order for companies of all sizes to have significantly more family-friendly workplaces.
Helpr has already succeeded in disrupting local childcare sectors across a variety of trial areas in California. The newborn startup has ambitious plans for expansion, but Kasey Edwards, cofounder of Helpr, says that the platform's real success lies in its experience. After eight years of running a small business called University Sitters we had a strong reputation in the industry and began receiving requests from major corporations for babysitting services to employees in many different areas," she explained to Small Business Trends.
"These clients wanted quality in a field that is known for its wild swings from babysitter to childminder. We took notice of our successes and created a technical platform to support scale. For more information about celebrity, click to how tall is ranboo that would be the right place for you.
Edwards and Klauber conceived of the project Helpr New Years 2016. It involved 75 sitters who worked on one night.
This success led to the team developing and launching a permanent childcare solution. It's a great opportunity for parents in desperate situations, but it also provides a steady source of income for babysitters in the area.
Helpr is great because it allows babysitters to screen and create a job history. Edwards said that this replaces hours of interviews with families, which are not paid.
You may not be able to meet all the families on other sites. However, you might get paid hours for working with a few of them. Helpr allows you to be screened and offered daily jobs with guaranteed pay and cancellation protections. This is still a difficult situation for many sitters. Parents and sitters have been very kind to Helpr in Los Angeles, Orange County, Santa Barbara. This has prompted the busy team at Helpr to develop rapid expansion plans for other areas of the country.
Edwards stated, "We believe that the childcare sector is ripe to be disrupted."
It's one of the main reasons people go to the ATM even in a cashless world. The direct exchange between parents, sitters and babysitters means that price is always a source of friction. We are eliminating this. We are excited to help make childcare more affordable, better quality, and less expensive for parents.
