Guilt comes in two forms: The guilt of your own conscience and the sense of guilt projected upon you by another person.
The promptings of your conscience come from your soul guiding you as to what is the heart-centered response to situations in your life. Listen to that still, small voice within. No one ever looked back on their life, complaining that they had loved too much. Quite the reverse, in fact.
If your sense of guilt is projected upon you by someone else, remember that this is merely a game which is plaid by people with control issues. Such people desperately fear that they have no control over their own lives, so they compensate by trying to control the lives of others.
Genuine promptings of conscience, on the other hand, are the gentle whisperings of your inner guidance as to how you can behave in a more loving manner. Love is the balm that heals all things. When your conscience prompts you to give more love, then find a way to express that healing energy in your life.
Life is a learning experience which is designed to result in continual transformation to more harmonious states of consciousness.
Listen within, act and transform. That's what life is for.
